Clinical Service Engineer (Job No. 004194)

Location: Holliston, MA

Job Duties:

  • Analyze and validate medical device instruments and identify root cause of problems.
  • Prepare validation documentation for systems or equipment used in in-vitro diagnostic testing.
  • Performing and implementing testing validation for medical devices.
  • Identify problems and modifying test methods to achieve intended use of medical devices.
  • Maintain strict disciplinary testing protocol for validation of medical devices.
  • Populate and maintain databases for tracking validation and test results of medical devices (i.e.: hematology, coagulation, flow cytometry).
  • Determine root cause failure based on validation reports.
  • Perform technical field service activities to support up to biosafety level 3 medical and research facilities, including installation, training, service, preventive maintenance, and validation of diagnostic equipment.
  • Resolve testing problems by checking in-depth electronics and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Provide diagnostics assistance to customers after post installation failures.
  • Prepare standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation for refurbishment process and validation.
  • Prepare Bill of Materials (BOMs), training and preventive maintenance procedures and documentation.

Requirements:

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
